Under the agreement, NTT America will manage Arcstar Global IP-VPN (MPLS) service to support Intec's global network across Canada, Europe and Asia-Pacific while working with SBC companies who will provide SBC PremierSERVSM Network-Based Virtual Private Network (NVPN) utilizing MPLS technology, SBC PremierSERV Dedicated Internet Access (DIA), and SBC PremierSERV Data CPE Support Services for domestic Intec locations. Intec will also utilize NTT America's collocation facilities in the U.S. to secure their networking equipment.

"We are honored to be awarded the opportunity to be a network service provider for a global communications company such as Intec," said Larry Fisher, Senior Vice President, NTT America. "I believe our extensive experience in successfully implementing MPLS technology along with our unmatched financial stability gave us an edge over our competition."

"We were in need of a carrier who could support our business with premium network availability and security at a reasonable cost," said Jim Hammar, Assistant Global IT Director, Intec Telecom Systems. "NTT America satisfied such needs with their high level of commitment to customer service, evidenced by their impressive customer retention rate.
