NTT America Provides Tier-1 IP Network Perspective on Internet Growth Trends at Industry Events in Q2 2012

Video content is a primary contributor to the exponential growth rate of the Internet

NEW YORK  – NTT America, a wholly owned U.S. subsidiary of NTT Communications Corporation (NTT Com) and a Tier-1 global IP network services provider, today announced the company’s participation in influential industry events during the second quarter of 2012.

At the events, NTT America will leverage its deep expertise to help companies understand how to best navigate recent industry changes, technologies and trends. The rapid growth of video content is among these topics Michael Wheeler, executive vice president, NTT Communications Global IP Network, NTT America, will discuss.

“With the overall ease of access to on-demand video and real-time interactive content, users have grown to expect a flawless Internet experience; this expectation has meaningfully changed the way networks are designed compared to just a few years ago,”  Wheeler said.

NTT America will participate in the following key events through June 2012:

  • Digital Hollywood Spring – April 30 – May 3 in Los Angeles
In this executive panel featuring leading digital entertainment industry leaders, including Cisco Systems, Comcast and MTV Networks, Wheeler will share valuable expertise on the changing nature of Internet usage and ways to better accommodate the transit of video content from a cost and service perspective. The workshop, titled “Video Anytime Anywhere: Video Across Platforms – Television, Internet and Mobile – Understanding the Value Proposition,” will take place on Tuesday, May 1, from 2:15 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. (PT).
