Of particular note, NTT America, for the first time, hosted the XXV Reunión Iberoamericana de Tráfico Internacional in Miami during April, which brought together attendees from more than 20 countries and emphasized the growing interconnections of international business. As one of the biannual events hosted by AHCIET, the conference’s timely theme was Asia-Pacific & Latin America Traffic Relations.

In addition, the company participated in a wide range of Internet and networking topics at:

As part of its ongoing commitment to creating awareness for and adoption of IPv6, NTT America launched a microsite dedicated to providing information, commentary and real world examples of IPv6 in business. Called v6 At Work, the site highlights working applications of IPv6, comments from leading IPv6 proponents as well as maintaining a central point for the IPv6 community to share information.

In the first six months of the year NTT America also announced that the NTT Communications Global IP Network exceeded 200 Gigabits per second on the trans-Pacific portion of the network, the highest provisioned bandwidth currently available worldwide. U.S. customers are using the NTT Communications Global IP Network, operated by NTT America, to reach customers, suppliers and international offices in Tokyo, Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia and Australia.

In concert with customers and partners, NTT America announced the completion of an IP network connectivity expansion across Switch and Data’s (a leading provider of data center and Internet exchange services) colocation facilities in Atlanta, Dallas, New York, Seattle, and Palo Alto, CA. Enterprise and service provider customers in Switch and Data’s sites in these markets now have direct access to the world’s only commercial grade Global Tier-1 IPv6 backbone operating across four continents, the NTT Com Global IP Network, operated by NTT America.
