NTT America to Discuss Strategies to Accelerate Telecom Growth in Latin America

NTT America CTO Doug Junkins to keynote on Cloud Computing at AHCIET XXVII in Buenos Aires

NEW YORK – November 15, 2010 – NTT America, a wholly owned U.S. subsidiary of NTT Communications Corporation (NTT Com) and a Tier-1 global IP network services provider, today announced its participation as a keynote presenter at AHCIET XXVIII Reunion Iberoamericana de Trafico Internacional, which will take place at the Hilton Buenos Aires hotel on November 15-17.

Doug Junkins, NTT America CTO and vice president of IP development, will speak to influential telecom executives and representatives from more than 150 carriers in his presentation titled, “Cloud Computing: The Future of Cloud Computing in Latin America.” In his presentation, Junkins will address major factors driving adoption and discuss emerging technology capabilities and resources to help advance the market.

“Latin America is in high demand for next-generation, high-data rate services. NTT America is dedicated to understanding infrastructure challenges in these regions to help grow Latin America’s telecommunications sector,” said Junkins. “Our participation at key regional events allows us to collaborate with industry leaders and learn how we can increase connectivity between Latin America and the rest of the world.”

XXVIII Reunion Iberoamericana de Trafico Internacional brings together influential telecom executives and representatives to discuss challenges and opportunities for broadband growth in Latin America. The event is produced by the Ibero-American Association of Research Centers and Telecommunication Enterprises (AHCIET), a non-profit organization representing more than 50 Latin American and Spanish telecommunications companies.
