NTT Communications Brings SDN-based Enterprise Cloud Solutions to IT Roadmap Boston Conference & Expo

Media Advisory

Who: NTT Communications Corporation (NTT Com), a wholly owned subsidiary of NTT Group (NYSE: NTT), today announced the company will participate as a platinum sponsor, exhibitor and presenter at the IT Roadmap Boston Conference & Expo: Building the Next Generation Enterprise.  Annual coast-to-coast IT Roadmap events bring local perspectives to the next wave of IT challenges, offering IT leaders the opportunity to explore high-priority IT issues and gather intelligence to make informed purchasing decisions for the new business and technology landscape.

What: Mr. Nayan Naik, NTT Communications Director of Product Strategy, will discuss the evolution of cloud computing and the innovations offered by Software Defined Networking (SDN) when presenting “Redefining Cloud for the Enterprise.”  This talk scheduled for April 4 from 10:45-11:15 a.m., will offer a high-level overview of the NTT Com Enterprise Cloud and the company’s take on the future of cloud computing.  NTT Com launched its groundbreaking SDN-based Enterprise Cloud via data centers in Japan and Hong Kong in June 2012.  With the addition of data centers in Singapore, Virginia and California in the US, and England, the Enterprise Cloud became available on a global basis in February 2013.  Clients have used the self-manageable Enterprise Cloud platform to flexibly extend their own data centers, gaining cost-optimized and secure compute capacity as a result.  Mr. Naik will present SDN use cases and discuss how flexibility, scalability and cost savings are enhanced in clouds built with SDN.  NTT Com welcomes attendees to visit NTT Com’s booth #100 in the interactive exhibit hall to continue the cloud discussion and to take part in the platinum sponsors’ Rapid Fire Presentations located in the expo hall theater from 1:15-1:45 p.m.

When: April 4, 2013

Where: Hynes Convention Center in Boston, MA

Why: It’s not all hype: building a safe and effective cloud strategy, virtualizing the latest in enterprise applications on a cloud computing platform remains a major objective for enterprises today – and for good reason.  However, there are serious challenges, in terms of figuring out which applications make the most sense in the cloud and how and where to store them, as well as mitigating risk.  Conference attendees of the Cloud & Next Generation Apps content track, including executive IT practitioners and decision-makers looking for unbiased perspectives on today’s biggest IT challenges and trends, will learn from NTT Com’s experience as the first service provider in the world to embrace SDN and the OpenFlow communications interface in offering an enterprise cloud solution.
