OpSource Cloud Delivered with NTT America’s Enterprise Services

OpSource Cloud Now Available via NTT America’s Data Centers and Global IP Network

New York, NY and Santa Clara, Calif.– NTT America, a wholly owned U.S. subsidiary of NTT Communications Corporation (NTT Com), and OpSource today announced their intention to accelerate the adoption of enterprise cloud computing by powering OpSource Cloud, a cloud solution bringing together the flexibility, availability and community of the public cloud with the security, performance and control the enterprise requires, through NTT America’s secure data centers and Tier-1 global IP network. By combining the collaborative strength of OpSource Cloud with NTT America’s leading enterprise services, companies, for the first time, can deploy a powerful cloud solution via the most secure data centers and the most reliable and scalable network available.

“Economic value is the driving force to create disciplines needed to properly move IT resources and applications into the cloud, however, initiatives are unlikely to get funded if they fail to meet enterprise expectations for the security, performance and control that they’ve come to expect from traditional methods,” said Agatha Poon, senior analyst at Yankee Group. “The reliability and performance of IP networks plays a critical role in maximizing the value of cloud computing because IP networks connect users to the cloud, delivering dynamic, on-demand services and applications to a diverse set of users. Thus, the reliability and security of the network will become more critical than ever.”

OpSource Cloud is designed to allow IT departments to manage their security as they would within their internal IT infrastructure. OpSource Cloud provides every user with a Virtual Private Cloud within the public cloud, allowing them to determine their own degree of Internet connectivity. For users weaned on the public cloud experience, OpSource Cloud offers online sign-up, pay by the hour usage, and rich online communities. And immediate availability and flexibility ensure that developers and enterprise IT alike have access to enterprise quality computing capability when they need it, paying for it only when it is being used. OpSource Cloud is now in public Beta and available for on-line purchase by the hour from www.opsourcecloud.net.

“Our portfolio of infrastructure assets gives us the opportunity to provide the most flexible allocation of those assets for our customers,” said Kazuhiro Gomi, Chief Operating Officer of NTT America. “The combination of OpSource Cloud and NTT America’s global IP network and data centers removes barriers that are keeping enterprises from adopting cloud computing, giving them a solution that is not only reliable and secure but scalable.”

When selecting a global network provider, the OpSource team looked for a solution with the fastest available bandwidth, best reliability and most approachable cost. OpSource chose NTT America as a network partner because NTT America alone met all these needs. In addition, NTT Communications’ global data centers offered a tremendous security and performance advantage for OpSource Cloud customers.

“Offering OpSource Cloud on NTT America’s infrastructure lets us bring our customers a tried-and-true network already being used by some of the largest Internet companies in the world,” said Treb Ryan, CEO, OpSource. “NTT America’s market-leading position helps reassure enterprises that their data is in the best hands possible and, working together, we will help these companies usher in the new era of enterprise cloud computing.”
