Our Tier-1 IP Network

Our Tier-1 IP Network
Share this on:

Traditionally, a number of factors have been used to measure a network’s value including: global reach, network robustness, and performance guarantees. Using these factors, the NTT Communications Global IP Network has always been a leading Global Tier-1 network. Our Global IP Network covers Asia, Oceania (including Australia), Europe and North America like no other providers can.

The NTT Communications Global IP Network was built to move Internet traffic at the highest speeds. Numerous direct paths, routing options and private peering points avoid Internet congestion. The network utilizes the most advanced technologies to provide fast, efficient, and accurate data transport. Your data speeds to its destination with fewer hops, less packet loss and minimal delays.

High speed:

  • Top-ranked Global Tier-1 IP backbone network
  • Global single AS (2914)
  • Largest Japan-US and intra-Asia capacity
  • Global private peering arrangements with leading Tier-1 service providers

Industry-leading SLAs:

  • Availability
Our goal is to make the Global IP Network available to customers, free of network outage, 100% of the time.
  • Latency
The average monthly latency (speed) of the North American Global IP Network will not exceed 50 milliseconds, round-trip. Trans-Atlantic average monthly latency will not exceed 90 milliseconds, round-trip. Trans-Pacific average monthly latency will not exceed 130 milliseconds, round-trip.
  • Packet Loss
The average monthly packet loss (reliability) of the Global IP Network will not exceed 0.1%.
  • Jitter
The average jitter on the North American Global IP Network will be 0.25 milliseconds or less. The maximum jitter on the backbone will not exceed 10 milliseconds more than 0.1% of a calendar month.
