We are very proud that we helped Twitter grow to more than 200 million accounts globally. See how we worked with the customer to satisfy their needs and grow business together.

Twitter came to us in October, 2007 seeking a managed hosting service that would lower its cost base and provide the flexibility to scale rapidly to support the company's exponential growth. They also needed the service provider to help them withstand the extraordinary tests they faced when global or regional events changed the patterns or needs of users.

Beginning in January 2008, we served as Twitter's primary IT infrastructure provider, delivering a mix of dedicated servers, managed security and network services in our eco-friendly data centers. These services were virtually all off-the-shelf solutions robust enough to handle the extreme bandwidth and computing demands of Twitter’s rapidly expanding user base.

Our proven experience and ability to execute enabled Twitter to ramp up hundreds of servers in days. This gave them the speed-to-market needed to support rapid growth at a lower cost than self-managed alternatives.

Due to Twitter’s unique and complex engineering challenges they have migrated to a self-managed solution, although we continue to maintain a close relationship. We are very proud that our flexible and scalable Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) and our focus on customer support helped to grow the world's social media darling from a platform supporting a few hundred thousand accounts to more than 200 million accounts globally.
